Drafter

to join our Drafting team. In this pivotal role, you will create high-quality technical drawings and support Project Management by translating architectural and engineering concepts into clear, construction-ready documents.

From traditional CAD drawings to advanced 3D modeling, you'll be a key contributor in turning vision into reality on some of our most dynamic construction projects.

What You'll Do: Draft the Future of Our Projects



This technically focused role is central to ensuring accuracy, feasibility, and efficiency in every project.

Your core responsibilities will include:

Technical Drawing Production:

Create detailed technical drawings using CAD software for use in manufacturing, construction, and fabrication.

Engineering Design Development:

Translate preliminary sketches and project documentation into clear, accurate engineering drawings and specifications.

Documentation & Reporting:

Develop material take-offs, drawing packages, and technical documentation to support project execution.

Drawing Revisions & Feedback Integration:

Revise and update drawings in response to stakeholder input and field conditions to ensure constructability.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Work closely with engineers, architects, and project managers to ensure designs are aligned with project intent and requirements.

Field Verification:

Conduct site visits to gather measurements, verify conditions, and ensure drawing accuracy.

Standards & Compliance:

Ensure all drawings meet applicable codes, industry standards, and internal guidelines for quality and safety.

Project Planning Support:

Contribute to timeline and schedule development through drafting input and documentation readiness.

Records & Revision Control:

Maintain organized records of all versions, revisions, and finalized drawing sets throughout the project lifecycle.

Special Projects:

Provide support on unique drafting assignments and departmental initiatives as needed.

What You Bring: Your Skills for Success



To thrive in this role, you'll need:

Proven Experience:

4+ years of drafting experience in the construction or architectural industry, with a solid understanding of construction materials, detailing, and drafting processes.

Education:

A diploma in Architectural Technology, Engineering Design and Drafting Technology , or a related post-secondary program.

Technical Acumen:

Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD is required. Familiarity with BIM, 3D modeling, SketchUp, and Revit is a strong asset. Solid knowledge of drafting standards, design documentation, and spatial visualization.

Core Knowledge:

Thorough understanding of construction methods, technical specifications, and industry regulations. Ability to produce precise, buildable, and code-compliant drawings.

Detail Orientation:

Meticulous attention to accuracy in drawings and documentation. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, technical environment.

Collaboration Skills:

Ability to work effectively with engineers, architects, project managers, and field teams. Strong communication skills and a proactive mindset to contribute effectively across departments.

Nice to Have:

Field experience in construction, glazing, or building envelope systems; familiarity with additional drafting/design tools; valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for occasional site visits.
