DOOR SHOP CO-ORDINATOR/BUILDER

FULL-TIME

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Door Shop Co-Ordinator/Builder is generally responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Door Production Shop as assigned by the Store Manager. These duties commonly include managing the Door production schedule, running the Door production equipment and producing doors, working with Management to manage inventory, ensuring product quality is consistent and of high quality, and working with Management to ensure deliveries are done on a timely basis. The Door Shop Co-Ordinator performs all assigned tasks with sufficient speed and accuracy to support efficiency and a high level of customer service and product quality.

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage the Door Production schedule to ensure doors are produced and delivered on time Produce finished doors with high quality level Make suggestions to the Store Manager when equipment should be replaced. Identify current or foreseen operating situations and inform the Store Manager/Dealer-Owner in a timely manner to facilitate a solution. Be a positive role model by following company procedures. Encourage employees to share their ideas and suggestions. Resolve customer claims and/or complaints in a manner that is timely, courteous, and discreet. Work on additional duties and assignments as assigned by management. Work in a safe manner in accordance with provincial and federal safety legislation. Report any potential hazards and unsafe behaviour to management in order to have the situation corrected.
QUALIFICATIONS:

High School graduation or equivalent. Ability to work co-operatively in a team environment. Experienced working with a variety of tools/equipment is an asset Excellent communication skills. Excellent mathematical skills. Good understanding of Home Hardware's policies and procedures. Willingness to continually develop professional skills and knowledge base.

Reports directly to the Store Manager
