JOB OVERVIEW
Safe, accurate and efficient operation of an automated CNC Router, sanding, hand-held Spray Equipment, and a Thermofoil Press in a cabinet door manufacturing work cell. The Machine Operator will involve coordination and teamwork within the production department and amongst several different types of machines. The Machine Operator will follow training and safe work procedures for all equipment being operated in addition to maintaining required quality standards and keeping organized production/quality logs. Coordination with the scheduler to maintain production schedules and adjusting for rushes as needed will be an accountability of the Machine Operator.
Responsibilities and Duties
Understand and follow all corporate safety policies and procedures, including PPE requirements
Understand door manufacturing process flow, keeping workflow organized and clearly marked
Utilize training to competently operate assigned equipment, including basic program adjustments
Read technical paperwork and drawings to interpret specifications and machining parameters
Loading materials manually and utilize different lifting apparatus for larger materials
Understand basic computer functions to operate machine software
Ensure raw materials are cleaned and inspected prior to loading
Maintain forklift certification to assist with material transport and machine loading
Perform quality checks of inbound materials and final products
Participate in cross-training on other equipment as department requires
Train other employees on safe work procedures, equipment operation and quality checks
Understand department and company goals, strive to meet/exceed these targets
Physical Demands
The physical requirements of this position include, but are not limited to:
Standing and walking for extended periods throughout the workday.
Lifting, carrying, and moving materials up to 50 lbs on a regular basis, and occasionally heavier items with assistance or lifting equipment.
Repetitive motions, including bending, reaching, twisting, pushing, and pulling.
Manual dexterity to handle tools, parts, and equipment with precision.
Operating machinery and hand tools, requiring steady hand-eye coordination and attention to safety procedures.
Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment, including exposure to sawdust, noise, moving equipment, and varying temperatures.
Wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times, such as hearing protection, eye protection, and safety footwear.

Qualifications
Minimum of 1 year's experience in a manufacturing facility is preferred
Minimum of 1 year's experience operating automated/CNC equipment preferred
Ability to interpret technical drawings and information
Ability to multi-task, monitoring several machine components during operation
High level of concentration, attention for detail and quality control
Basic math skills - unit conversions, arithmetic operations, ratios and percentages
Efficient machine operation with mechanical aptitude
Advanced measuring skills in imperial and metric
Basic computer skills - Navigating Windows, Microsoft Office and Email
Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
Ability to lift up to 50lbs repeatedly
Self-motivated and driven to continuously improve and add value to the organization
Desire for continuing education and personal development
