A Halifax institution since 1974, The Lower Deck is the city's original home of East Coast music, cold pints, and good times on the waterfront. With live music, hearty pub fare, and a come-as-you-are spirit, it remains a cornerstone of local culture and hospitality for visitors and regulars alike.

The Lower Deck is currently seeking a friendly, professional, and safety-conscious Door Attendant. As the first point of contact for our guests, you'll create a welcoming environment while maintaining safety standards.

What you will be doing:

monitoring and controlling access to the establishment; checking IDs and ensuring that all patrons meet age requirements; maintaining order and enforcing rules and regulations; handling difficult situations with professionalism and tact; escorting unruly guests out of the establishment; collaborating with other staff members to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all; such other similar or related duties as may be required from time to time.

The person were looking for has:

similar experience in a hospitality environment is considered an asset; ability to remain calm under pressure while working in a fast-paced environment; organizational skills; strong oral communication skills; ability to work evenings, weekends, and late nights.
