Job Title: Donor Engagement Coordinator

Reports To: Director of Philanthropy

Harvest House Atlantic, founded in 1999, supports homeless individuals, those struggling with substance use or mental health, and those seeking change in Greater Moncton. Serving a record 191 people nightly, we provide Emergency Shelter, Community Kitchen, Supportive Housing, and Addiction Recovery Supports, working tirelessly to break barriers and guide individuals toward stability.

Job Summary:

The Donor Engagement Coordinator is responsible for cultivating, stewarding, and strengthening relationships with donors to ensure continued support for the mission of Harvest House Atlantic. This role plays a key part in donor communication, event coordination, and fundraising initiatives to enhance donor retention and acquisition. The Donor Engagement Coordinator will collaborate closely with the Development and Communications teams to develop strategic donor engagement activities and campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

Donor Stewardship & Relationship Management:

• Build and maintain relationships with individual donors, corporate partners, and foundations.
• Develop and implement donor recognition programs to express appreciation and demonstrate the impact of their contributions.
• Maintain accurate donor records and ensure timely acknowledgments of donations.
• Coordinate donor appreciation events, site visits, and personalized outreach efforts.

Fundraising & Campaigns:

• Assist in the planning and execution of annual fundraising campaigns, including direct mail, online giving, and peer-to-peer fundraising.
• Support grant applications by gathering necessary materials and ensuring timely submission.
• Identify potential new donors and develop strategies to engage them with the organization.
• Collaborate with the Director of Philanthropy to implement major gift and planned giving strategies.

Event Coordination:

• Plan and manage donor appreciation events, fundraising galas, and community outreach activities.
• Coordinate logistics, invitations, sponsorships, and volunteer involvement for events.
• Track event success metrics and suggest improvements for future engagement activities.

Marketing & Communications:

• Work with the Communications team to create compelling donor communications, including newsletters, impact reports, and social media content.
• Develop content highlighting donor stories and the impact of contributions.
• Ensure consistent messaging and branding in donor engagement materials.

Database Management & Reporting:

• Maintain donor database accuracy and integrity by updating contact information, tracking interactions, and recording giving history.
• Generate donor reports and analyze engagement trends to inform strategic planning.
• Prepare regular reports for leadership on donor retention and fundraising performance.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bilingual is an asset
• Bachelor's degree in Nonprofit Management, Communications, Marketing, Business, or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in donor relations, fundraising, event planning, or nonprofit development.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Experience with donor database management considered an asset (e.g., Salesforce, Raiser's Edge, or similar CRM software).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and social media platforms.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and project management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Passion for the mission of serving homeless individuals and families.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

• Office-based role with occasional off-site events and donor meetings.
• Some evening and weekend work required for events and donor engagements.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. for event setup as needed.

Pay: $45,760.00 per year
