\xe2\x98\x86 Where You Come In

We are looking for a Donor Care Representative to join our team at Make-A-Wish Canada. This position supports the deposit of donations and entry of all constituent data accurately into applicable customer relationship systems. The Donor Care Representative will also ensure receipts, acknowledgements and other applicable stewardship communications are delivered in an accurate and timely manner. This role is responsible for providing excellent customer service by answering donor inquiries via phone and email.

This role is located in Edmonton and is a full-time, permanent, in-office (5 days per week) position.

\xe2\x98\x86 What You Will Do
  • Opens donor mail, deposits and enters donations into applicable customer relationship systems.
  • Responsible for accurate data entry and management into customer relationship management systems (Salesforce, Donor Drive, Crowd Change) as it relates to entering donations, updating payments, and updating/adding constituent records across Make-A-Wish Canada.
  • Provides office administrative and logistical support to regional and chapter offices.
  • Supports local in-person and virtual events and campaigns.
  • Works closely with the Wish Advancement, Revenue Development, Finance and CRM teams, and works to triage Wish inquiries by phone, email and mail.
  • Maintains positive and collaborative relationships with internal team members to ensure donations are accurately reviewed and completed in a timely manner.
  • Facilitates the issuance of tax receipts (original/replacements), acknowledgement cards, and other stewardship communications.
  • Maintains integrity of CRM system by complying with data integrity standards and policies.
  • Additional duties will include supporting local in-person events and some logistical and administrative tasks.
  • Other duties as assigned.
\xe2\x98\x86 What You Bring
  • Post-Secondary education in a related field or equivalent training, education or work experience.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a data entry environment is an asset.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of customer service and administrative experience.
  • Strong phone and email communication experience required.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with strong ability to plan, prioritize and multi-task in order to adhere to deadlines.
  • Exhibits exceptional customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated experience with Salesforce or Raiser\'s Edge.
  • Ability to manage large volumes of data entry on an ongoing basis.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information.
  • Strong experience working with Microsoft Office applications required, especially Excel and Word.
  • A clear Criminal Background Check required.
  • Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 at least 14 days prior to their first day of work, subject to relevant accommodations or exemptions.

  • Office work environment (5 days per week in-office) with occasional requirements to work outside of regular office hours.
  • This position requires flexible working hours to ensure we manage donor inquiries across all time zones in Canada. Donor Care hours of operation are Monday to Friday, 8am to 7pm EST, and each member of the Donor Care team works 8 hours a day within that range.
