Donation Truck Drivers

pickup building supplies and furniture donations from residential and business donors in Greater Vancouver and Fraser Valley The role is ideal for those who love to work independently and stay active, embrace technology, while supporting a local non-profit. If you have experience driving 3-ton or 5-ton trucks (no air brakes) we are looking for you to join our team! We are looking for new additions to our team, full-time or part-time, permanent or temporary contract with option to renew after three months.

Daytime shifts available, Monday to Saturday.

Delivery Driver Duties and Responsibilities



Ensure pickups or deliveries match work orders on smart phone Load and unload products in and out of the truck as needed throughout the day Able to multi task and adapt to an ever changing environment (traffic, customer requirements, load size change) Work with a sense of urgency to complete jobs or assignments Wrap, secure and mark items for transport Deliver friendly customer service to clients and staff Be proud of the vehicle you operate. Keep the vehicle organized, clean, and fueled Able to take on a leadership role to lead co-workers to complete tasks in a safe and timely manner. Mentor your crew to achieve weekly targets and goals. Adhering to all safety and equipment regulations and procedures Clearly communicate with supervisors and co-workers with any challenges May be required to assist in distribution warehouse to meet team goals Able to work in all weather conditions

Requirements and Qualification



High school diploma or GED certificate Valid Class 5 driver's license (min) A clean driving record with no moving violations for the last 5 years Experience driving 3 or 5 ton commercial trucks Physically fit and strong, able to lift up to 50 pounds comfortably on a regular basis without assistance. Able to lift 75-100 lbs with assistance from co-workers or using lifting equipment Forklift experience an asset, training provided Good oral and written English skills Possess flexibility to meet our customer demands and business requirements Basic computer skills Ability to use apps on a mobile phone without assistance Demonstrate good organizational, time management, and prioritizing skills Possess a strong work ethic and a positive team attitude 1+ years of leadership or supervisory experience Must be punctual and reliable Work with a sense of urgency
