Domestic Recruitment Specialists work with prospective students, applicants, parents, high school counsellors, other members of the Registrar's Office, the Nxc3xaesxc3xb4hkamxc3xa2totxc3xa2n Centre, academic staff in all NAIT Schools and programs, other NAIT departments (e.g., Conference and Event Services), and more. This role is varied, fast-paced, and people-focused. The ability to connect with others and build relationships is paramount.Domestic Recruitment Specialists promote NAIT degree, diploma, and certificate programs to domestic stakeholders through a variety of channels. Domestic students are Canadian citizens, permanent residents, and refugees; please note the Domestic team does not conduct any recruitment activities for international students. Our stakeholders include prospective students, applicants, parents and guardians, as well as staff at Canadian high schools and community organizations. We work with a diverse audience of high school students, newcomers to Canada, mature students, and transfer students, and each group has unique perspectives, challenges, and interests.The Domestic Recruitment Specialist is accountable for meeting domestic student recruitment targets, growing existing markets, and exploring opportunities in new markets. They support NAIT's Strategic Enrolment Management (SEM) plan and work hard to ensure the institution achieves domestic enrolment objectives. Domestic Recruitment Specialists work closely as a team to support each other and ensure the team's goals are met, while having significant autonomy to manage their own work and implement strategies for their assigned region(s) and School(s). The successful candidate will be conscientious and have proven success when working both independently and within a team. They will consistently demonstrate good judgment, accountability, self-sufficiency, and will value continuous improvement.Applicants should understand the principles of equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) and be able to articulate their importance for the post-secondary sector broadly and domestic recruitment specifically. Weekdays, weekends, evenings, and extensive travel will all be required at different times throughout the year.
