Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Dog Walker to join our team. This role is perfect for animal lovers who enjoy spending time outdoors and engaging with pets.

We are hiring for the WEST GALT route in Cambridge. Please only apply if you live in this area.

This is a daytime position with most work between the hours of 10am-3pm Monday-Friday. The ideal candidate will be available as much as possible during this timeframe each day. 15-20 hours to start and can increase with time.

Responsibilities

Drive to each clients house and walk dogs in various weather conditions, ensuring they receive adequate exercise and stimulation. Maintain a safe environment for dogs during walks, monitoring their behavior and health. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their dog's needs, behaviors, and any concerns that may arise during walks. Provide exceptional customer service by being friendly, approachable, and responsive to clients' inquiries. Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure the well-being of both the dogs and yourself. Clean up after each dog.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older. Must have a valid Police Check or be willing to obtain one. Must have access to a reliable vehicle and have a valid license. A genuine love for animals and experience handling dogs of various breeds and sizes (professional and/or personal experience is acceptable). Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners. Physical stamina to walk for extended periods in different environments. Reliability and punctuality are essential; you must be able to commit to scheduled walks consistently. Ability to handle unexpected situations calmly and effectively, ensuring the safety of the dogs in your care.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 20 per week
