Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Dog Walker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and the ability to provide exceptional care and attention to dogs during their walks. We are looking for someone to cover peak times (mid day & afternoon- up to 4:30 - walks)

This role involves ensuring the safety and well-being of dogs while providing them with exercise and social interaction in a variety of environments.

Duties

Walk dogs in various weather conditions, ensuring they receive adequate exercise and mental stimulation. Pick up dogs in your car, to gather the group of dogs walking together (4 dogs max) Maintain control of dogs at all times, ensuring their safety and the safety of others. Follow specific instructions from pet owners regarding walking routes, feeding schedules, and any special needs or concerns. Communicate effectively with pet owners, providing updates on their dog's behavior and well-being during walks. Clean up after dogs during walks to maintain a clean environment. Monitor the health and behavior of dogs, reporting any concerns to pet owners promptly. Return dogs safely to their homes after the group walk is complete.

Skills

Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners and address their needs. Ability to handle multiple dogs at once while maintaining control and ensuring their safety. Knowledge of dog behavior and training techniques is a plus. Excellent time management skills to ensure timely walks and adherence to schedules. Physical stamina to walk for extended periods and manage energetic dogs. A genuine love for animals, with a commitment to providing the best care possible. Pay: $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 - 15 per week
