Overview

The Dog Handler plays a vital role in the care and management of dogs, ensuring their well-being and safety while providing exceptional service to clients. This position requires a passion for animals, strong communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. The Dog Handler will be responsible for handling various breeds and sizes of dogs, maintaining a positive environment for both the animals and their owners.

Duties

Provide daily care for dogs, including feeding and exercising. Monitor the health and behavior of dogs, reporting any concerns to management. Maintain cleanliness in all areas where dogs are housed or exercised. Assist clients with questions or concerns regarding their pets, delivering excellent customer service. Implement training techniques as directed by management to ensure proper behavior and socialization of dogs. Engage in heavy lifting when necessary, such as moving supplies or managing larger breeds. Ensure all safety protocols are followed during interactions with dogs and clients.

Skills

Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients and address their needs. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for the care and management of larger dog breeds or equipment. Ability to work in all weather conditions. Team-oriented mindset with the capability to work independently when needed. Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for animals are essential traits for success in this role.
