Responsibilities

Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling for various breeds of dogs and other pets. Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin, identifying any health issues that may require veterinary attention. Handle animals safely and effectively, using appropriate restraint techniques to ensure their comfort. Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, adhering to health and safety standards. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners regarding grooming options and aftercare. Keep detailed records of each pet's grooming history, preferences, and any special needs. Assist with animal handling during appointments, ensuring a positive experience for both pets and their owners. Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming environment for all clients.

Requirements

Proven experience in pet grooming required. (Certification an asset) Strong skills in animal handling, including dog training and restraint techniques. Familiarity with various breeds' grooming needs and styles. Experience in customer service, demonstrating strong communication skills with pet owners. Ability to handle all breeds/sized and lift heavy dogs as needed, ensuring safety for both the groomer and the pet. Previous experience in kennel settings or animal care environments is a plus.
