Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Dog Daycare Night Shift Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing a safe and enjoyable environment for dogs in our daycare facility.

Schedule:

Overnight shifts (typically 6PM - 12am)

Manager / Daycare Supervisor

Position Summary

The Overnight Dog Daycare Attendant is responsible for ensuring the safety, comfort, and cleanliness of all dogs in our care during overnight hours. This role involves monitoring dogs, cleaning and sanitizing facilities, and maintaining a calm, secure environment while clients' pets rest.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and monitor all dogs throughout the night to ensure their safety and well-being. Perform regular room and kennel checks, ensuring all animals are secure and comfortable. Provide late-night feedings, bathroom breaks, and administer medications as instructed. Clean and sanitize kennels, play areas, bedding, dishes, and common areas according to facility standards. Record and report any unusual behaviors, health concerns, or incidents to management. Maintain accurate logs of feeding, potty breaks, and overnight observations. Prepare the facility for morning staff and client arrivals. Follow all safety and sanitation protocols, including handling cleaning chemicals appropriately.

Qualifications

Previous experience working with dogs (kennel, daycare, veterinary, or rescue experience preferred). Must be comfortable handling dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments. Ability to work independently and remain alert during overnight shifts. Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and animal care. Physically able to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. Reliable transportation and punctual attendance required.

Work Environment

Environment can vary between calm or fast paced , animal-centered setting that can be noisy and physically active. Exposure to cleaning products and animal allergens. Overnight hours, weekends, and holidays may be required.

Qualifications

Previous experience working with dogs or in a pet care environment is preferred but not required. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners. Must be physically capable of performing heavy lifting tasks as required by the job. A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their care and safety. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed. Team player with a positive attitude who can work well in a fast-paced environment.
