Documentation Centre Coordinator Temporary Until July 2026

Job Description

As coordinator of the documentation centre, and under the supervision of the Deputy Director of Student Services, your main role will be to coordinate and oversee the organisation of the centre.
Status : Full time 37,5h/ week - temporary until july 2026
RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinates the implementation of the various projects of the Documentation Centre in collaboration with the shared services of the LCI network;
  • Plans the renewal of the paper and digital collections, keeps the list of compulsory books up to date and follows up with the College bookshop;
  • Supervises the purchase of documents from approved bookshops and submits the annual book acquisition report to the MEES;
  • Carries out various tasks relating to the selection and acquisition of all documents (physical media and databases): evaluation of relevance and costs, bibliographical checks, choice of supplier, subscription renewals;
  • Participates in the budget process by monitoring expenditure on the Documentation Centre and audiovisual services, and forecasting the budget required for the year's activities;
  • Acts as the main respondent for customer service in the Documentation Centre (monitoring usage statistics, measuring satisfaction, adjusting practices in the light of these observations);
  • Monitors and represents the Documentation Centre in establishing partnerships with other libraries in the LCI network and setting up a common system;
  • Manages, configures and updates the Documentation Centre's website.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Hold a Master's degree in Information Science or a DEC in Documentation Techniques combined with a Certificate in Archiving and/or Digital Information Management;
  • Relevant experience (in education would be an asset);
  • Excellent command of written and spoken French and English;
  • Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PPT).This role involves interaction with internal and external clients and partners on a national and global scale. Professional proficiency in English is therefore a requirement for this role.
