Our client is an international banking and financial institution with divisions located in the Americas, Europe, Asia,and the Middle East. They are establishing their first Canadian office and are expecting exponential growth.
The candidate will be responsible for accurately and efficiently managing the billing process, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing, processing payments, and resolving billing inquiries. This role is crucial in maintaining the financial health and integrity of the bank.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and generate invoices for clients/customers, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain accurate records of invoices, payments, and outstanding balances.
- Verify billing data and reconcile accounts.
- Process payments received from clients/customers in the WASH/NOSTRO, ensuring accurate posting to the appropriate accounts.
- Prepare funds transfer memo & seek FX contracts (if needed) in order to effect payments out to branches/third party banks.
- Track outstanding fees and follow up on unpaid items.
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and payment issues.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of billing transactions and client/customer accounts.
Qualifications:
- Minimal education level required :High school / Secondary school / A levels / AS levels / IB
- Required: English language. French language skills would be a plus.
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a similar role would be preferred, but not mandatory.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Letter of Credit and SWIFT knowledge would be preferable
- Knowledge of Syndications loans would be beneficial
- Attention to detail: The candidate will have to reconcile invoices, noticing any discrepancies and miscalculations. This requires strong observation skills and keen attention to detail.
- Problem-solving skills: Critical thinking, analytical skills, creativity, and the ability to identify and resolve issues effectively
- Communication: Effective written and verbal communication, active listening, presentation skills
- Teamwork: Collaboration, cooperation, conflict resolution, and the ability to work effectively with diverse individuals
- Adaptability: Flexibility, willingness to learn, and the ability to adjust to changing priorities and situations
- Time Management: Organization, prioritization, and the ability to meet deadlines effectively
