About the Role
Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, the
Quality Assurance Associate
is primarily responsible for maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS) of cannabis production and processing facilities. This role is also responsible for ensuring compliance with The Cannabis Act & Regulations, Good Production Practices (GPP), and any additional accreditation standard requirements throughout the TJAC facilities. The successful candidate will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with our Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Job Duties
Maintain the QMS, Document Control, and batch record filing system for multiple sites
Ensure that all SOPs are followed, identify gaps and opportunities for improvement
Participate to ensuring compliance with The Cannabis Act & Regulations, and international accreditation standards
Help implement and maintain GPP
Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with SOPs
Adopt and incorporate quality methods into everyday work
Conduct tests and create reports in compliance with corporate policies, practices, and procedures
Supports QA programs, including audits, non-conformances and overall record keeping
Supports the QA product release and on-hold process
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Maintain meticulousness in document updates while performing routine work
3+ years of work experience in a QA role in cannabis, pharmaceuticals, food or a related industry
Knowledge of the Cannabis Act and its Regulations is an asset
Previous experience with cannabis cultivation and processing equipment
Experience with a GFSI or HACCP organization, or experience in a similarly regulated environment (GMP, GAP, GPP)
Ability to implement procedures across facilities and ensuring alignment
Ability to work individually, as well as a part of a team
Ability to adapt to new technology
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe
Maintain meticulousness in document updates while performing routine work
Dedication to safety measures and best practices
Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands
Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
High level of work ethic
Must be able to complete a Criminal Background Check
