Responsibilities:
Serve as the first point of contact for patients, answering phones promptly and with warmth, and assisting with inquiries, ensuring optimal communication standards.
Efficiently and accurately register patients at the front desk, updating/maintaining patient records (demographics, family physician & home pharmacy) as necessary.
Direct patients to their appointments, providing guidance to various areas within the clinic, and ensuring a smooth patient flow.
Ensure consistent access to essential front desk documentation and materials through effective stocking practices.
Efficiently distribute incoming faxes and prescriptions to the respective physician inboxes
Ensure that physician lanes are well-stocked with essential supplies such as drops, forms, and pamphlets, etc.
Answer phones in a courteous and efficient manner, providing assistance to patients and directing calls appropriately.
Coordinate patient appointments, demonstrating strong organizational skills to manage the doctor's schedule effectively.
Assist in the scanning and uploading of documents into the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system, including faxes and prescriptions.
Complete physician billing tasks accurately and efficiently.
Contact pharmaceutical representatives to procure eye drop samples and ensure adequate stock levels.
Schedule surgical patients and manage associated documents and records, including updating the Novari system and preparing surgical room binders.
Receive, cross-reference, and confirm payments for premium intraocular lenses, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a medical setting is preferred, but not required.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Proficiency in administrative tasks, including document management and scheduling.
Strong communication skills and a customer-centric approach.
Ability to work independently or within a team environment.
