Dock & Door Technician - Dartmouth, NS

We are the largest company in Atlantic Canada dedicated exclusively to material handling equipment; we have been providing our customers with high quality equipment, rentals, parts and service since 1993. With branches located in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick, we are looking for a Dock and Door Technician in Dartmouth to join our growing Nova Scotia Team.

Reporting to the Field Service Supervisor you will be responsible for:

• Dock and Door installation, maintenance, and inspection.
• Perform repairs in addition to installation and maintenance dock and door parts
• Service will include mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic repairs as per the equipment
• Diagnosing electronic, mechanical, and hydraulic repairs
• Analyze and diagnose dock levelers, vehicle restraints
• Perform Preventative Maintenance inspections on warehouse facilities
• Install dock equipment including shelters, seals, lights, bollards, vehicle restraints, levelers, high speed doors, and overhead doors

Skill Requirements:

• Must have 2-5 years dock and door experience.
• Must have strong welding skills
• Good analytical skills to diagnose mechanical problems with minimal supervision
• Good mechanical aptitude with an ability to service a diverse range of equipment
• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with co-workers and managers; positive attitude, and good work ethic
• Provide current and suitable Driver's Abstract.
• Provide current and suitable Driver's License.
• Ability to lift to 70 lbs.
• Ability to manage multiple jobs at one time
• Ability to complete paperwork for multiple jobs accurately and timely
