The Learning System Specialist provides operational and systems management for FMPSD. Working under the guidance and support of the Director of Teaching and Learning, must be able to adjust to unique situations quickly, problem-solve on the spot, and work flexibly and collaboratively to maintain effective systems and tools that enhance teaching and learning across the division.
Requirements:
Experience with form management systems.
Strong organizational and technical skills with attention to detail.
Effective problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated experience with user account management and digital system administration.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Desired Qualifications/Skills:
Familiarity with Ed Tech platforms used across the division including PowerSchool, Google for Education Apps, Clevr, Vretta, etc.
Knowledge of accessibility tools such as Read & Write, EquatIO, or other inclusive programming technologies.
Experience maintaining digital repositories and/or physical resource libraries.
Familiarity with Alberta K-12 education contexts and technology use in schools.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
In collaboration with the Coordinator of Educational Technology, manage the division's LMS (Learning Management Systems) platforms including Clevr, PowerSchool, Vretta, etc.
In collaboration with Division Coordinators, manage platforms associated with literacy and numeracy.
Maintain accessibility tools (e.g. ipads, Chromebooks, etc.) and digital resources that support inclusive programming.
Maintain accessibility of Coordinator's Corner.
Maintain the Division's Computer Science resources.
Support divisional reporting requirements.
Provide organizational support for division professional development.
Other duties as assigned.
