Divisional Controller -

Position Summary

The Divisional Controller is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of a specific business division. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, effective internal controls, compliance with accounting standards, and provides strategic financial insight to divisional leadership to support operational and business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Reporting

Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes for the division Prepare and analyze financial statements, variance analyses, and management reports Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with GAAP/IFRS and company policies

Internal Controls & Compliance

Maintain and enhance internal controls to safeguard company assets Ensure compliance with corporate policies, tax regulations, and audit requirements Act as primary divisional contact for internal and external audits

Team Leadership

Manage, mentor, and develop divisional accounting and finance staff Set performance goals and ensure alignment with organizational objectives

Systems & Process Improvement

Improve financial processes, reporting tools, and system efficiency Support ERP and financial system implementations or enhancements

Qualifications

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred) 3+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience Prior experience in a controller, divisional, or senior finance role is an asset

Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of financial reporting, accounting standards, and controls Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Excel (or equivalent tools) Leadership experience managing and developing teams
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $19.69-$42.43 per hour
