This is a hybrid role with a mix of in-office and remote work. Work arrangements will be discussed with hiring managers per departmental guidelines.
This is a temporary position, anticipated to last until January 2026.
Your role
Reporting to Radio-Canada's Executive Director, Diversity & Inclusion, you will play a key role in implementing the organization's strategic objective of reflecting contemporary Canada. You will actively contribute to bridging the gap between the public broadcaster and communities that are underrepresented in its workforce and content.
You will collaborate on programs designed to accelerate and engage talent, while also deepening connections with various cultural and Indigenous communities. Your support will be crucial in fostering the professional development of diverse talent and assisting different departments in implementing CBC/Radio-Canada's Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Plan.
You will be instrumental in proposing solutions to better connect with audiences nationwide and will contribute to initiatives such as internship or talent development programs in audiovisual production. You will help increase the engagement of diverse talent by creating outreach, networking and collaboration opportunities with a range of cultural and Indigenous communities.
Your responsibilities will also include managing budgets in line with corporate standards, cultivating strong relationships with both internal and external partners, and effectively championing the public broadcaster's mission and role. Ultimately, you will be joining a passionate, dynamic team that thrives on collaboration, innovation and making a real difference.
Your ResponsibilitiesAdvise and support departments in executing initiatives from the EDI Plan, the National Accessibility Plan and the National Indigenous Strategy. Provide strategic advice and offer practical solutions tailored to the unique needs of each department. Help expand our understanding of underrepresented communities, including people with disabilities, First Peoples, racialized individuals and the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. Participate in forging lasting partnerships within the audiovisual industry to promote talent inclusion. Collaborate on the design and implementation of internship and talent acceleration programs, both internally and with independent producers. Build and maintain robust working relationships with Radio-Canada station managers across the country. Work closely with CBC/Radio-Canada corporate teams and the CBC Engagement & Inclusion team. Represent Radio-Canada at outreach events and activities. Conduct strategic monitoring of best practices in inclusion and diversity, ensuring their widespread adoption across the organization.


What You BringUniversity degree in communications, human resources, diversity management or another relevant field. Seven to 10 years' relevant experience in an advisory role focused on equity, diversity and inclusion, or an equivalent background. Experience facilitating workshops or training sessions an asset; A combination of education and experience demonstrating a deep understanding of equity, diversity and inclusion issues will also be taken into consideration. Strong knowledge of the audiovisual production and media landscape. Strong grasp of EDI, accessibility and collaboration principles in a First Peoples context. Ability to analyze data (e.g., EDI indicators, impact measurement). Proven ability to collaborate effectively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders. Clear, compelling and strategic writing skills. A knack for influencing, advising and engaging high-level managers. Collaborative leadership and keen political acumen. Creativity, initiative and an innovative mindset. Excellent ability to manage priorities and thrive under tight deadlines. Solid command of English and French, spoken and written.
