We are seeking District Serviceworkers for seasonal work in Winnipeg, Manitoba. You will assist in providing a high standard of

service to the customer and in representing the enterprise in the Customer Service Centre. Service will be provided in person, via

telephone, and in writing to customers in a professional, friendly, and caring manner with respect to questions and concerns about

their electrical service.


Responsibilities:


Provide underground locations on electrical and gas facilities and issue clearances in accordance with corporate policy. Perform collection activities associated to delinquent accounts. Change defective and retest energy meters and maintain related records. Perform accurate readings of gas and electric meters, including 3-phase demand meters. Assist with the construction and maintenance of distribution facilities. May be required to perform overhead line inspection patrols. May be required to assist with storm response and assessments.

Qualifications:


Grade 12 education. Line Locating certification and one year of Line Locating experience with a demonstrated satisfactory level of competence. Working knowledge of MWM, EGIS, Microsoft Outlook, and other computer applications that are required in the operation of


the CSC.

Competent with reading and interpreting plant construction drawings and Manitoba Hydro standards manuals. Experience providing a high standard of service to customers. Proactively considers the safety of self and others. Effective communication skills, both written and oral. Familiar with procedures for "soft dig" methods. Demonstrated ability to work independently under limited supervision, initiative, good sense of judgement, and willingness to

assume responsibility.

Demonstrated mechanical aptitude. Possess a Manitoba Hydro approved set of personal hand tools. Physically capable of performing all duties of the position. Familiar with corporate policies, practices and standards, Safety & Occupational Health Rules, Traffic Control, WHMIS, and

Handling and Storage of Dangerous Goods.

Possess a valid Province of Manitoba Class 5 Driver's Licence. May be required to obtain vehicle operator certification for various classes of equipment.

Note: These positions work either the standard 9-day work cycle or an M3T3 shift at management's discretion.

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The range for the classification is $26.72-$34.99 Hourly,

$51,208.04-$67,056.86 Annually.
