District Manager

We are currently looking for a District Manager, Quebec to join our shared retail selling team on the Campbells Soup & B&G portfolio. Responsibilities include managing and motivating a dedicated sales team to drive the most for our ROI; collaboratively working with our cleint team to support the sales in grocery accounts; track and monitor field sales team targets and identify opportunities; work with the SR Client Service Manager on programs, communication, directives, and targets.

This position will work from a home office and will require flexibility to travel between 50% and 75% within your district to conduct field visits and on occasion visit the client/Acosta headquarters or meet with retailers.

The District Manager will:

  • Drive results for a shared selling team
  • Be agile and flexible to respond to the business needs.
  • Be Curious \xe2\x80\x93 always thinking about continuous improvements to support the growth of the business.
  • Be Analytical \xe2\x80\x93 isolate data to find the opportunities and support the targeted results.
  • Coach, train and motivate the team to sell cases, negotiate displays, secure shelf space for innovation.
  • Bring field insights and competitive intelligence about what is happening in retail accounts.
  • Roll up sleeves and help with retail display builds, mini resets.
  • Monitor the KPIs and identify opportunities and call out wins.
  • Support an assigned retail team in a defined region (interviewing, hiring, training, ongoing coaching)
  • Regularly provides field insights and competitive intelligence to client and field teams for their district.
  • Great relationship builder with Smucker associates, Acosta associates, store level associates.
Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of prior management experience in retail, merchandising, training, sales and/or field marketing.
  • Previous experience in retail sales and merchandising management in Grocery & "big box" strongly preferred.
  • Home office space with Internet connectivity required.
  • Strong computer skills utilizing the internet, email and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Natural ability to lead a team in a manner that will build team morale and accomplish objectives.
  • Outgoing, professional personality with the ability to build relationships quickly.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently and with little supervision, while exercising ethical and professional business practices.
  • Apprise supervisor of field issues on daily basis such as "red flag" issues, rep fall out and program issues using solution driven communication.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in French & English.
  • Must have a valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license.
  • Willingness to travel within and outside your territory when required.
