Job Summary
In accordance with provincial legislation and our commitment to transparent hiring practices, the compensation range for this position is provided. Final compensation will be determined based on qualifications, experience, and internal equity. Canadian work experience is not required. Please note that artificial intelligence tools are utilized in the applicant screening process.
Pay range is $100,000 - $130,000 annually.
The District Manager is responsible for the operational, financial, and people performance of multiple sites within an assigned district. This role ensures contract compliance, client satisfaction, safety, and strong financial results through effective leadership of onsite management teams.
Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day operational oversight including maintenance, custodial, and technical services. Ensure delivery of contract requirements, SLAs, and KPIs.
  • Ensure consistent execution of service standards, scopes of work, preventive maintenance programs, and work order management
  • Monitor service delivery, staffing levels, schedules, and productivity to meet contractual requirements.
  • Conduct regular site visits, audits, and operational reviews; address gaps and implement corrective actions.
  • Oversee maintenance shutdown and guide the team for effective shutdowns.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships; act as senior escalation point.
  • Develop, evaluate, and review plans and criteria for a variety of projects and activities
  • Own district financial performance, including budgets, labor, and cost controls.
  • Lead, coach, and develop site managers and frontline leadership teams.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, labor, and regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with internal teams (HR, Finance, Safety, Labor Relations) to support operations.

  • 5-7 years' experience in facilities management is preferred. Hard facilities management experience is an asset.
  • Engineering education in civil/electrical/mechanical engineering (P.Eng. preferred) or a suitable experience along with engineering education is preferred
  • Supervised the operation of a multi-site manufacturing(preferred),commercial or institutional facility
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Proficiency with common software including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with procurement and/or administration of contracts or similar agreements, as well as with bids, quotes and award procedures
  • Understanding of various Federal, Provincial and local codes and regulations involving construction, installation, fire, safety and sanitation is preferred
