The Blueprint

The District Accounting Manager oversees the accounting services for 12-15 condominium corporations and shared facilities, supervising 1-3 Property Accountants. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, compliance with legislation, and smooth onboarding of new corporations, while fostering collaboration with Boards and supporting team development.



A Glimpse into your Daily Activities

Budgeting, Forecasting & New Business Onboarding: Lead annual budget preparation, support quarterly forecasting, and manage onboarding of new corporations. Financial Reporting Accuracy: Review and finalize monthly financial statements, ensuring data integrity and timely period-end closing. Internal Controls & Compliance: Strengthen internal controls, approve bank reconciliations, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations. Stakeholder Collaboration & Client Support: Serve as the primary financial contact for various stakeholders, providing timely and transparent responses. Process Optimization: Improve accounting workflows and support automation initiatives. Supervision & Professional Development: Supervise and mentor Property Accountants, conduct annual reviews, and support training.

Systems Thinking: Connects dots across processes, platforms, and people to drive smarter, smoother operations. Leadership: Develops talent by fostering ownership, curiosity, and continuous growth within the accounting team.

The Architect of Your Success

Degree in Accounting or Business Administration (CPA designation or in progress is an asset). Minimum 7+ years of progressive experience in Finance and Accounting driving operational efficiencies, preferably within property management. Proficiency with technology and finance systems including MS Excel, Word, Outlook; Yardi experience an asset. Strong organizational, interpersonal and time management skills.
