Overview of the Role Reporting to the Distribution Manager, Alberta, this position supports the Alberta Distribution Team by ensuring compliance to established accountability practices and processes, while being an active participant in the Distribution Team and providing support/assistance where required.
Please note that this is a temporary role with a possibility of an extension.
How you will make contributions that matter:
Monitors Route and SKU Product Returns/Losses each period.
Ensures RDO/LHO/DSD compliance to document procedures and paperwork submission.
Monitors Route Settlement procedures compliance.
Provides prompt feedback to RDO/LHO/DSD concerns and questions.
Participates in Distribution Team Meetings and conference calls.
Maintains current RDO Policy Manual. Develops and maintains an understanding of RDO Policies and Contracts.
Various period end reports as required.
Track departmental expenditures and submit for further processing.
Coordinate the process of line haul \xe2\x80\x93 load balancing.
Prepare commission packages.
Various tracking, including expenses, business reviews, insurance, driver\xe2\x80\x99s license updates, plant and Petro can, charge back as required.
Claims; Legal, including RDO setup/termination.
Liaison between customer service, warehouse, plant, sales, cheese branch and distribution as required
Ensure that all work is performed safely while following OH&S, WCB, Food Safety and other Company regulations and procedures.
Other duties as required.
You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications:
Post-secondary education in General Business/Administration/Transportation an asset; prior accounting experience an asset.
Experience within Distribution and/or Sales environments.
Working knowledge of Computer Systems (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
Knowledge of DDS \xe2\x80\x93 DSS systems.
High level of self-motivation and initiative / ability to contribute to the development of a sound regional team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical and organizational skills.
Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure.
Ability to work independently.
