ASICS EngineeringGeneral Summary:Qualcomm is the world leader in wireless ICs, powering the majority of 3G & 4G devices, the largest fabless semiconductor company in the world, and is consistently ranked near the top of Fortune's list of "100 Best Companies to Work For".The Validation and Verification (V&V) organization within the Qualcomm CDMA Technologies (QCT) division is responsible for verifying and validating QCT hardware, to facilitate the development of new hardware (IP cores and SoCs), to maximize software productivity, and to enable faster time to market.The V&V organization is central to minimizing the number of chip turns in QCT's products, to the efficient transition of sound and reliable HW to SW organizations, and to the development of new verification methodologies.Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field.This role involves working on silicon verification and validation of Next Generation Display Controllers and Display interfaces that are key to delivering a vivid and stunning visual experience with mobile smartphones, tablets and compute platforms.Successful candidates will work within a multi-disciplinary, multi-site team of architects, designers and verification engineers to help build next generation System-on-Chips (SoCs) for the Mobile, Compute, Automotive and IoT markets.What are we looking for?Experience in the following areas:

• Experience with Emulation Platforms (FPGA Prototyping, Veloce, Palladium), Emulation tools (Synthesis, Place and Route, Constraints, Clocking) System Debug (Waveform generation and Content Debug support)
• 3-6 years of experience working in emulation and silicon environments
• Emulation environments for pre-silicon prototyping
• Experience with digital systems design and System on Chip FPGA devices
• Debugging low level software and hardware issues
• Experience with using High speed Oscilloscopes and Logic Analyzers and other lab equipment
• Understanding of hardware, firmware and software interaction is desired
• Experience programming in C and scripting languages: Python, Perl
• Familiarity with digital video and audio is desired
• Knowledge of display interfaces is a strong asset (i.e. DisplayPort, HDMI, and/or DSI).
