Shift: 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM
Status: Temporary to Permanent
Starting Pay: $50,000 (Temp)
Permanent Salary: Starting at $60,000
Eligibility: Must have Permanent Resident status or higher
About the Opportunity
Fuze HR is currently recruiting for a Shipper Receiver / Dispatcher role on behalf of a long-standing, global manufacturer of high-quality bakery ingredients. The company supplies major foodservice providers, distributors, and bakeries across Canada and is known for its commitment to product consistency, safety, and exceptional customer support.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a balance of logistics coordination, administrative duties, and occasional hands-on work in the warehouse. Forklift operation is minimal-only when absolutely needed. You will primarily interact with drivers, manage incoming and outgoing shipments, and support the back-office and customer service teams.
This position begins on a temporary basis with a strong opportunity to transition to a permanent role.
Key Responsibilities
Driver & Dispatch Coordination
Check in and direct drivers upon arrival
Coordinate daily pickups and deliveries
Communicate with carriers, customers, and internal departments regarding shipment updates
Troubleshoot issues related to delays, paperwork, or routing
Shipping & Receiving Support
Prepare and verify all shipping documents (BOLs, packing slips, manifests)
Ensure accurate data entry of inbound/outbound shipments
Assist with shipping and receiving tasks as needed
Help maintain accurate inventory and movement records
Customer & Administrative Support
Handle customer queries related to orders and delivery timing
Support office tasks including filing, updating systems, and coordinating paperwork
Work closely with production and warehouse supervisors to maintain workflow
Warehouse Support (as needed)
Operate a forklift occasionally (minimal requirement)
Assist in warehouse organization and receiving tasks when required
Requirements
Permanent Resident status or Canadian citizenship is required
Experience in shipping/receiving, dispatching, or logistics coordination
Strong communication and customer service skills
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Basic computer knowledge; experience with shipping systems is an asset
Forklift experience is an advantage but not the primary focus
