Overview:


Execute, implement and review systems, structures, processes and strategic goals for divisional logistics and customer service. Facilitate co-ordination, communication and alignment of such with sales administration, sales and marketing and customer service. Responsibilities:


Safety:

  • Follows and ensures full compliance with Health & Safety policies and procedures.
  • Ensures all contracts and project site meet the Lafarge safety policy requirements for our employee?s safety.

Customers service and delivery planning:
  • Ensure excellent customer service by providing customer support i.e. respond to inquiries, provide alternatives.
  • Plan deliveries both for Lafarge and sub-contractors (Broakers).
  • Maximise fleet usage.
  • Monitor internal performance controls (KPIs).
  • Responsible for the assignment and/or re-assignment of drivers.
  • Management of work and lunch breaks.
  • Resolve and diffuse complaints utilizing the Improvement Report, redirecting where appropriate

Performance :
  • Monitor and track hauler performance, arrival times, loads per day and overall customer satisfaction.
  • Produce various delivery performance reports by using available software systems, eg: GPS, etc. Input working hours into the Kronos time keeping system.
  • Track hours the hours worked by the individual drivers.
  • Identify potential problems or opportunities.
  • Monitor production capacity

Orders and billing:
  • Process customer orders and Ensure all orders are complete and accurate in detail
  • Produce and issue billing for orders
  • Track orders while monitoring demand, utilization and capacity while prioritizing work

Relationships with Others Jobs:

  • The role reports directly to the Logistics Manager
  • The dispatcher works closely with the logisitics team, the sales team and the plant management teams.

Specific Accountabilities:
  • Responsible for final dispatching decisions and order clarification
  • Sourcing and assignment of hauler for project work
  • Ensure dispatch information is complete and accurate

  • Volume: 50,000 m3 to 200,000m3 annually

Qualifications:


Education and work experience:
  • High School Diploma
  • 3 to 5 years of dispatch experience
