Remote Dispatcher - Trucking Industry (Full-Time)

We are a fast-growing transportation company looking for a

highly organized and experienced Dispatcher

to join our team remotely. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in the

trucking industry

, with excellent communication and coordination skills to support our operations across Canada and the US.

Key Responsibilities:

Schedule and dispatch trucks efficiently to meet customer delivery timelines. Communicate with drivers to provide routes, delivery instructions, and updates. Monitor load status, track shipments, and resolve issues as they arise. Coordinate with shippers, receivers, and freight brokers. Maintain accurate records of shipments, driver logs, and load documents. Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and company policies. Optimize routes for fuel efficiency and timely delivery. Provide after-hours or weekend support as needed.

Requirements:

2+ years of dispatching experience

in a trucking/logistics environment.

Strong knowledge of North American highway systems

, truck routes, and HOS (Hours of Service) rules. Understanding of

truck types (dry van, reefer, flatbed, etc.)

and load requirements. Experience with dispatch software (e.g., Loadlink, A1,TMS, etc.).

Excellent English communication skills

- written and verbal. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a

remote setting

. Strong problem-solving, multitasking, and organizational abilities. Comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Must have reliable internet and a quiet remote workspace.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience dispatching cross-border (Canada-USA) loads. Familiarity with ELD systems and fleet compliance monitoring. Prior experience working with owner-operators and company drivers. Knowledge of load boards, freight rates, and logistics contracts.
