Transdev is now hiring a Dispatcher & Office Administrator for our Yellowknife, NWT location!
As the Dispatcher & Customer Service Coordinator, you will play a key role in keeping our operations running smoothly and ensuring exceptional service delivery. You will be the primary point of contact for customers, drivers, and partners, balancing real-time coordination, administrative accuracy, and responsive communication.
Your Role:

• Answer incoming calls and provide clear, accurate information to customers regarding schedules, routes, and services.
• Dispatch YATS drivers and vehicles efficiently to meet service demands while maintaining on-time performance.
• Monitor real-time vehicle locations and communicate with drivers to address operational changes or challenges.
• Coordinate with schools, school boards, and clients to ensure seamless service delivery and timely updates.
• Support day-to-day administrative activities, maintaining accurate records of communications, trips, and dispatch operations.
• Provide coaching and guidance to drivers to promote service excellence and adherence to safety and company standards.
• Prepare operational and performance reports to support management and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with team members to enhance dispatch systems, optimize routing, and improve overall service efficiency.
• Follow all Transdev standards, policies, and procedures, while upholding a culture of safety, professionalism, and respect.
• Perform other related duties as assigned to support the operation.

Your Profile:

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in administrative support or dispatch operations, ideally within transportation, logistics, or customer service environments.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating professionalism, courtesy, and a customer-focused approach.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) with the ability to quickly learn new software and dispatch systems.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail in documentation, data entry, and record keeping.
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a dynamic team.
• Solid problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to remain composed under pressure.
• Familiarity with Yellowknife's geography and local transportation routes is considered an asset.
• Demonstrated commitment to delivering quality customer service while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.

Your location:

• This is a full-time, non-union, on-site position based in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories.
• The schedule consists of 8-hour daytime shifts, Monday to Friday, typically from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
