Weir Construction has been in business since 1951. We have over 70 years working within Construction and Oilfield industries. Weir Construction Ltd is looking for a Frac Sand Dispatcher to join our new and innovative Sand Division in the Grande Prairie area.
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our dynamic team. The Dispatcher will play a crucial role in coordinating transportation logistics, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of freight. This position requires strong communication skills, the ability to analyze data, and proficiency in various transportation management systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in supply chain operations and a solid understanding of shipping and receiving processes.

Duties

Correctly schedule work and dispatch trucks and employees in an organized manner Provide accurate directions, direct drivers to pickups and deliveries Relay messages and information to/from crews, field supervisors and management Update dispatch crew book and computer tracking programs Work in conjunction with management to create employee evaluations Work with HSE officer to complete monthly inspections and audits and attend safety meetings

Experience

Proven experience in a dispatch or logistics role within the transportation industry is preferred. Minimum 5 years experience within oilfield industry Familiarity with supply chain management principles and practices. Experience using transportation management systems (TMS). Above average computer skills, outlook, ROOK, MS Office, Motive is highly desirable. Knowledge of freight operations, shipping, and receiving processes is essential. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data effectively. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on phone etiquette. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
