Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Dispatcher. The ideal candidate will manage our fleet of 4-7 trucks, schedule and maintain contracted carriers, including the preparation of Dangerous Goods manifest online, international and domestic paperwork. The role will also pay customers at our retail window.

Duties

Schedule and dispatch Urbanmine fleet using custom software. Coordinate all contracted drivers with our internal warehouse, and schedule all delivery appointments required. Monitor shipment statuses, troubleshoot delays, and communicate updates proactively. Maintain accurate data entry related to shipping & receiving documentation, freight details, and tracking information. Prepare all documentation required, including Dangerous Goods manifest using the gov't website, BOL's, packing lists and any other specific requirements. Manage shipping schedules and battery inventory. Pay retail customers using Scrap Dragon software. Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies during dispatch operations.

Qualifications

Proven experience with transportation systems and dispatching. Strong understanding of, Excel, Microsoft, Outlook and Inventory programs. Excellent communication skills with professional phone etiquette. Proficient typing skills for accurate data entry and documentation. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting. Knowledge of shipping regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices is advantageous. Pay: $25.00 per hour
