Our client, a dynamic and rapidly growing organization based in the North East of Calgary, is seeking a highly organized and proactive Dispatch & Logistics Administrator to join their collaborative team on an ongoing temporary basis. You'll be a key player in ensuring smooth office operations while supporting real-time logistics and dispatch needs for a highly coordinated field team.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor daily transportation routes in real time, ensuring schedule accuracy and on-time performance
  • Provide immediate administrative support in the event of route delays, last-minute staffing changes, or service disruptions
  • Serve as the first point of contact for incoming calls related to transportation updates, student concerns, or routing issues
  • Coordinate and communicate route adjustments or incident details with families, schools, and internal teams
  • Respond quickly and effectively to on-road incidents, including behavioral, medical, or mechanical emergencies
  • Liaise with drivers and attendants to confirm shift changes and ensure all routes are adequately staffed
  • Support the Operations team in tracking, logging, and resolving service incidents
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to incident reports and documentation
  • Assist with general office tasks to ensure a smooth and supportive environment for both office and field staff
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a dispatch, logistics, or emergency response role strongly preferred
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to remain calm, clear, and professional in high-pressure situations
  • High level of computer literacy and the ability to learn new dispatch and route tracking systems quickly
  • Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to challenges
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a team-focused, service-oriented environment
  • Experience coordinating multiple priorities in a time-sensitive setting
  • Background in transportation, education, emergency services, or community support roles is considered an asset
