Role Overview



We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented

Dispatch & Customer Support

professional to join our team. Reporting to the Commercial Supervisor, this role is responsible for coordinating daily route operations, ensuring timely dispatch, and delivering exceptional customer service. This position ensures all administrative tasks and reporting are completed accurately and on time, while maintaining compliance with company safety procedures and Occupational Health regulations.

Primary Responsibilities



Dispatch



Effectively dispatching drivers and resources throughout the day to maximize service and resource utilization is essential, as is proactively identifying and addressing potential service issues. Additionally, part of the responsibilities includes closing routes daily in the TRUX system and monitoring and inputting dispatch requests received via phone and email.

Customer Service



Engages in respectful communication with customers to assess driver requirements, coordinates schedules, and collaborates closely with the Sales Team to ensure the fulfillment of customer satisfaction.

Operational Execution



Work closely with the Operations Manager, Field Supervisor(s), and Mechanics to optimize routes and assist in establishing daily staffing levels and necessary equipment for efficient customer service. Monitor drivers' progress using the TRUX system and Geotab to ensure timely completion of daily collection services, addressing any issues that may arise proactively to maintain smooth execution.

Safety



Safety procedures are continually followed to target zero incidents / lost time injuries / property damages.

Administration



Daily administrative duties, such as route closure, documentation, and reporting, are completed to provide crucial information to both internal and external stakeholders. Assistance with invoicing, performance analysis, or other investigative or data revision work is executed accurately and promptly. Drivers are assisted in the use of relevant devices and in successfully completing their assigned tasks.

Qualifications



Education



GED preferred. Safety certifications as required by site.

Experience



Three years of experience in routing and dispatching. Strong skills in Microsoft Office. Comfortable with computers, various software (e.g. mapping software - GeoTab and other related GPS-systems).

Knowledge/Skills



Excellent navigation and map reading skills. Organizational skills are required to ensure procedures and processes are maintained effectively. Being a team player, showing initiative and taking on duties that may not be regularly assigned tasks. High level of customer service by continually meeting client and corporate expectations. Company professionalism and reputation are displayed by attire, verbal, and written communication.

Additional position information



Pre-access drug and alcohol testing will be conducted. Selected candidate may be required to complete a background check.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
