Job Description

The ideal candidate for this position is a passionate and engaged cook with a love of food, combined with the flexibility to support kitchen operations as a dishwasher. You will have some previous cooking experience, preferably in Italian cuisine, be capable of taking direction well, multitasking effectively, and thrive in a busy production team. You are a positive role model of professionalism and teamwork.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Prep Cook:

Prep and assemble ingredients for production Collaborate with parallel departments to ensure production needs are met Be a team player and foster strong morale within the culinary team Manage time efficiently, ensuring prep lists are executed Manage inventory and rotate stock according to procedures Maintain standards for food storage, rotation, quality, and appearance Ensure compliance with health codes and regulations Follow maintenance and cleaning schedules for equipment, storage, and work areas Restock kitchen for subsequent shifts Ensure the food prep area and kitchen are cleaned and sanitized at the end of your shift

Dishwasher:

Wash and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, and utensils promptly and thoroughly Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing stations and kitchen areas Assist with general kitchen cleaning, including floors, counters, and storage areas Sort and dispose of waste and recyclables properly Support kitchen team during slower periods as needed Follow health and safety regulations related to sanitation and hygiene

REQUIREMENTS

Excellent communication skills Passion for food Minimum 2 years of professional cooking experience Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen Strong teamwork ethic and positive attitude Food Handler Certification (required) Willingness to work early mornings with a 6 am start
