Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Prep cook/Dishwasher to join our team in a dynamic kitchen environment. This dual-role position is essential in ensuring that our food service operations run smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and organization within the kitchen. Experience in the hospitality or restaurant industry is preferred but not mandatory.

Duties

Prepare a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards. Assist in food preparation tasks, including chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients. Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment. Ensure proper food handling and storage practices are followed to maintain food safety. Help with inventory management by keeping track of supplies and notifying management when stock is low. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Adhere to all health and safety regulations while working in the kitchen.

Requirements

Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required. Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food handling practices. Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards helping others. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed. A passion for the hospitality industry and commitment to delivering high-quality food service.
