We are looking for a reliable, hard-working Dishwasher/Prep Cook to join our kitchen team. This role is essential to maintaining cleanliness and supporting the food preparation process in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is punctual, detail-oriented, and committed to food safety and kitchen hygiene.
Key Responsibilities:
Dishwasher Duties:
Wash dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment or by hand.
Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing area, including floors, sinks, and trash bins.
Ensure all kitchen equipment and dishes are sanitized and properly stored.
Assist with garbage disposal and recycling processes.
Follow safety and sanitation standards at all times.
Prep Cook Duties:
Wash, peel, chop, and slice vegetables and fruits.
Measure and prepare ingredients as directed by the chef or cook.
Assist in the preparation of salads, sauces, and simple dishes.
Stock kitchen stations with necessary supplies.
Ensure proper food storage and labeling practices are followed.
Maintain cleanliness of food prep areas and equipment.
Qualifications:
Prior experience in a kitchen or food service environment preferred, but not required.
Ability to follow directions and work independently or as part of a team.
Physical stamina and ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
Familiarity with kitchen sanitation and safety regulations is a plus.
Reliable, punctual, and eager to learn.
