We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cook/Dishwasher to join our dynamic kitchen team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen environment while assisting in food preparation and cooking. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service and hospitality, with experience in restaurant or hotel settings being a plus.
Duties
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
Assist with food preparation tasks, including chopping, slicing, and measuring ingredients
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, utensils, and equipment
Ensure all food handling practices comply with health and safety regulations
Support the serving staff by preparing plates and ensuring timely delivery of meals
Participate in inventory management by keeping track of kitchen supplies and notifying management when restocking is needed
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy service periods
Qualifications
Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel kitchen environment is preferred
Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
Strong cleaning skills to maintain a sanitary work environment
Familiarity with food handling regulations and safety practices
Excellent teamwork abilities with a focus on hospitality and customer service
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed
