We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cook/Dishwasher to join our team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service and hospitality, demonstrating strong skills in food preparation and kitchen cleanliness. This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently while providing high-quality meals to our guests.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Assist in food preparation tasks, including chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment.
Ensure proper food handling and sanitation practices are followed at all times.
Assist with inventory management by keeping track of stock levels and notifying management of any shortages.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Support the overall operations of the kitchen by helping with various tasks as needed.
Experience
Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required.
Knowledge of food handling and safety regulations is a plus.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented atmosphere while maintaining a positive attitude.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in food preparation and cleanliness.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
