Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Dishwasher / Kitchen Helper to join our Kitchen team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the kitchen staff by ensuring a clean and efficient food preparation environment. This position is perfect for individuals looking to gain experience in the food service industry, particularly within restaurants, hotels, or hospitality settings.

Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly. Support the kitchen team during busy service periods by providing assistance wherever necessary. Restock supplies as needed and report any shortages to the kitchen management. Clean designated equipment, such as hoods, filters, steam tables, bus tables, carts, ovens and grills, sinks, refrigerator/freezers, service areas, walls, floors, kitchen cafeteria dump site/compactor area as assigned. Use and dispose of kitchen substances (such as grease) and kitchen chemicals properly. Sweep and mop kitchen floor at the end of each meal period and after each spill. Monitor chemicals and water temperature during shift. Clean and organize associated work area and kitchen equipment according to procedures to maximize efficiency.

Experience

Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required; we welcome those eager to learn. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A positive attitude and willingness to take direction from chefs and senior kitchen staff will contribute to your success in this role.

Pay: $17.43-$18.68 per hour
