Responsibilities

Assist in food preparation tasks, including chopping vegetables, measuring ingredients, and assembling dishes as directed by the chef or kitchen manager. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly. Support cooking staff by providing necessary tools and ingredients during meal preparation. Ensure all food handling practices comply with health and safety regulations. Help with inventory management by restocking supplies as needed and reporting low stock levels. Participate in cleaning duties at the end of shifts to ensure the kitchen is ready for the next service. Assist in serving meals during busy periods, ensuring timely delivery to guests.

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel kitchen is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential. Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods is an advantage. Strong cleaning skills with attention to detail to maintain a hygienic work environment. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
