is a Japanese pop culture-themed izakaya restaurant opening soon in the heart of uptown Saint John. From the creators of Bubbly Cup, our concept features authentic ramen, bento boxes, and Japanese small plates, along with sake and Japanese draft beer--all served in a fun, vibrant atmosphere inspired by anime, street art, and retro Japanese culture.

Position Summary:

We're looking for a reliable and hardworking

Dishwasher

to join our back-of-house team. You'll play a key role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our kitchen by ensuring dishes, utensils, cookware, and prep tools are always clean and ready for use. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to get started in the restaurant industry or grow within a dynamic kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Wash dishes, glasses, cutlery, pots, and kitchen equipment efficiently and thoroughly Operate dishwashing equipment and perform routine maintenance as needed Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing area, kitchen floors, trash bins, and storage areas Assist with basic food prep when required (e.g., portioning, peeling, stocking) Help receive and organize deliveries Dispose of garbage and recycling properly and in a timely manner Support the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient service Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations Occasionally assist with social media content (e.g., cleaning hacks, behind-the-scenes Reels)

Qualifications:

Previous experience in a kitchen or dishwashing role is an asset, but not required Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle repetitive tasks Strong attention to detail and time management skills Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn Comfortable being featured in social media content occasionally Valid Food Safety Certification (or willingness to obtain before starting)
