Summary

The

Avenir Centre

has an excellent and immediate opening for a

Dishwasher/Kitchen Helper

. This role is best suited for someone who is meticulous, reliable, and thrives in a

fast-paced kitchen environment

.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen area, in compliance with health regulations Clean kitchen floors, surfaces, and equipment Operate dishwashing equipment and wash all dishes to local health standards Assist with food product delivery and organization Follow all Food & Beverage department rules and regulations Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor, based on event and kitchen needs

Education & Experience Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred English proficiency required; French an asset Basic knowledge of commercial dish machines Ability to follow instructions and work independently Maintains a professional appearance and adheres to dress code Demonstrates a strong work ethic and a sense of urgency in team settings

Availability

This is a

casual

position. Shifts are primarily scheduled during

evenings, weekends, and holidays

, based on the

Avenir Centre's event calendar

.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions

To successfully perform this role, the employee must be able to:

Use manual dexterity for handling kitchen tools and supplies Lift up to 35 lbs occasionally, and carry up to 25 lbs frequently Climb ladders and stairs as needed Stand, bend, stoop, reach, and handle materials for long periods Occasionally push/pull equipment and cleaning tools Work in a hot, damp, and noisy kitchen environment Be in frequent contact with hot surfaces, sharp utensils, and boiling liquids Frequently immerse hands in water
