Position Summary

The Dishwasher plays a crucial role in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen by ensuring all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are washed and sanitized efficiently. This position supports the Back of House (BOH) team by keeping dish areas clean, assisting with basic food prep when needed, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate is reliable, hardworking, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to, the following:

Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment according to health and safety standards.

Keep dishwashing stations clean, organized, and free of hazards.

Properly dispose of garbage, recycling, and compost in designated bins.

Assist kitchen staff with basic food preparation, such as peeling, chopping, or portioning ingredients, as needed.

Maintain cleanliness in the back of house, including sweeping and mopping floors.

Monitor cleaning supply levels and notify management when restocking is needed.

Ensure all equipment is properly cleaned and stored at the end of each shift.

Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.

Minimum Requirements

No previous experience required; on-the-job training provided.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.

Ability to follow instructions and work well as part of a team.

Basic understanding of safety and sanitation guidelines (preferred but not required).

Working Conditions

This is a part-time or full-time position with early morning, weekend, and holiday availability required.

Ability to stand for extended periods of time.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Work in a hot and humid environment due to dishwashing equipment and kitchen operations.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From $17.60 per hour

Expected hours: 3 - 20 per week
