Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Helper to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation, maintain cleanliness in the kitchen, and support the overall efficiency of our kitchen operations. This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen runs smoothly and that all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Duties

Assist chefs and cooks with food preparation tasks, including chopping, slicing, and measuring ingredients. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, cleaning countertops, and disposing of waste. Ensure all food handling practices comply with health and safety regulations. Help with the setup and breakdown of kitchen stations for meal service. Support the cooking staff during peak hours by providing timely assistance as needed. Clean kitchen equipment and utensils after use to maintain a sanitary environment. Assist in inventory management by restocking supplies as necessary.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required. Knowledge of food handling and safety practices is a plus. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration in a hospitality setting. Willingness to learn new cooking techniques and food preparation methods. Physical stamina to stand for long periods and perform tasks that require lifting or moving items.
