We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Dishwasher/Kitchen Helper to join our team. This role is essential in supporting the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring a clean, organized, and efficient environment. The primary role is that of part-time dishwasher with some kitchen cleaning duties and occasional food preparation while always maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety. Ideal candidates will have a passion for hospitality and food service, with previous experience in restaurant, hotel, or food handling environments preferred but not necessary. Responsibilities
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, including washing dishes, cleaning countertops, and sanitizing surfaces
Handle food safely and follow proper food handling procedures to ensure hygiene standards are met
Organize and store ingredients and supplies efficiently for easy access during service
Support serving staff with setup and cleanup during meal service
Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and maintained regularly
Follow health and safety regulations at all times to prevent accidents or contamination
Occasionally assist with basic food preparation tasks under the supervision of chefs or kitchen staff
Skills
Experience in food service, restaurant, or hotel environments is desirable
Knowledge of cleaning procedures and maintaining sanitation standards
Ability to handle food safely and follow proper food handling protocols
Basic cooking skills and familiarity with food preparation techniques a bonus but can be taught
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards
Good communication skills and team-oriented attitude
Prior experience with hospitality or food service roles is a plus but not required
