Porter / Dishwasher / Prep Helper - $12.00 plus gratuities - Evening and daytime available

Bluestone Cottage Bakery Cafe and Alena Rustic Italian are looking for a few energetic and enthusiastic dishwashing and prep helpers to join their team.

POSITION DESCRIPTION: Porter / Dishwasher / Prep Helper

- Part-time available - weekdays and weekend days

- Wage $minimum wage per hour plus gratuities

- This position is requires no previous experience

- This position requires someone with great attention to detail, a passion for cleaning and a willingness to jump in and lend a hand to our kitchen and front of house teams.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

- Must be able to work independently with minimal or no supervision.

- Setting up restaurant/dish area for service and ensuring appropriate opening duties are completed

- Washing and sanitizing dishes, putting away clean dishes, assisting the kitchen with prep tasks

- Answer, report to and follow the Chefs directions

- Clean up station at the end of service

- Stock inventory appropriately, put away incoming orders using proper rotation

- Support the kitchen team and front of house team by being helpful and offering to learn new things

- Comply with food safety and sanitation regulations as well as company work safety standards

- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and guests

- Other duties as required.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

- Must be available for daytime shifts: weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

- No experience required

- Excellent guest-oriented approach and patience

- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills

- High attention to cleanliness and safety

- Must speak English fluently and live in Winnipeg area

- Must be able to independently lift 50 lbs

- Valid food handlers certificate is an asset

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.80-$23.76 per hour

Work Location: In person
