Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher to join our team in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organization within the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized. This position is essential for supporting our food service operations in a restaurant or hotel setting.

Responsibilities

Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment. Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by sweeping and mopping floors, wiping down surfaces, and disposing of trash. Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including peeling vegetables and preparing ingredients for cooking. Ensure that all kitchen equipment is clean and in good working order; report any maintenance issues to the supervisor. Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Help maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when supplies need replenishing.

Requirements

Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not mandatory. Knowledge of food handling safety practices is a plus. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment within the hospitality industry. Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on cleanliness and organization. Must be able to stand for long periods and lift heavy items as needed. A positive attitude and willingness to help others in a busy kitchen setting are essential for success in this role.

Pay: From $15.80 per hour
