Job Summary:

The Aegir Room at the award winning Oswego Hotel is seeking a reliable and hardworking Dishwasher to join our team here. As a Dishwasher, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in our kitchen. Your role is crucial in ensuring a smooth and efficient operation of our restaurant/hotel kitchen.

We are looking for somebody that is available Fri-Sun from approx 5:00pm-9:00pm

Responsibilities:

- Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, and pans using manual or automated methods

- Load and unload dishwashing machines

- Sort, stack, and store clean dishes in appropriate areas

- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed

- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, floors, and equipment

- Dispose of trash and recyclables properly

- Follow all safety and sanitation procedures

- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow

Qualifications:

- Previous experience working in a restaurant or hotel kitchen preferred but not required

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

- Ability to work well as part of a team

Skills:

- Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times.

- Food handling: Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety.

- Kitchen assistance: Assist cooks and other kitchen staff with various tasks.

- Food service: Provide excellent customer service by delivering clean dishes promptly.

- Hospitality: Create a welcoming atmosphere for guests through your friendly demeanor.

Must be currently living in Victoria.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 per week
